Derek grew up in Independence, MO and graduated from the University of Missouri – Columbia with his Master of Accountancy. He has been a CPA for 10 years and opened Dowell Tax Consulting in January 2019.
Kale Ohmes
Director of Tax
Kale graduated from Lindenwood University and is a Certified Public Accountant. He has over 5 years of experience working in tax consulting. He enjoys building strong relationships with his clients and feels this allows him to better help clients reach their goals.
Tony Schmitt
Chief Operating Officer
Having worked directly with clients and been in leadership, Tony brings over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Tony brings a client first mentality and is passionate about making sure advisors are equipped to deliver a world class experience. Tony has worked with some of the largest firms in the industry receiving numerous awards and recognition for achievement and service. He most recently served as the President of a nationally Registered Investment Advisor.
Alex Fishman
President and CEO
Alex has worked in various roles in leadership with some of the largest investment advisory firms in the financial services industry. Beginning his career during the 2008 financial crisis gives Alex a unique perspective on what it takes to help clients and advisors succeed. Alex received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Arizona in 2008 and his Master of Business Administration from Washington University in Saint Louis in 2016.
